West Nairobi School is an American curriculum school located in the beautiful Karen area of Nairobi.It is an International Christian School founded in 1996. It is a private co-ed (mixed) day school with North American curriculum taught in English from Kindergarten to 12th grade. West Nairobi School also has an Early Childhood Learning Center for students 4 – 5 years old. More than 20 nationalities are represented in the school.

Athletics
West Nairobi School is a part of the Kenya Association of Independent International Schools Sports Organization (KAIISSO). There are 24 other schools in this association.During the course of one year, WNS plays each of these teams, either at home or away, in the four sports that are offered.WNS also attends an average of 6-8 tournaments each year, which includes schools both in the KAIISSO league and not.

The WNS Music Department seeks to educate and train the student as a complete musician through professional preparation in performance, theoretical and historical studies. Performance preparation in both vocal and instrumental areas is cultivated by individual instruction and ensemble membership.WNS currently offers Middle School Band, Middle School General Music, Middle School Choir, and High School Band. Peripatetic tutoring is also available for students throughout the week.
